Phoqus Pharma says Chronocort open-label trial progressing well

Phoqus Pharmaceuticals PLC said the open-label trial of Chronocort, its treatment for congenital adrenal hyperplasia, is progressing well and it expects to start late-stage clinical studies in the first half of 2008.
Phoqus is planning for the launch of Chronocort for congenital adrenal hyperplasia during the last quarter of 2009 or early 2010, and the Phase II trial results are expected in the first quarter.
Regarding Chronocort's second indication of acquired adrenal insufficiency, Phoqus said guidance from the EMEA provides for a simpler and lower risk clinical trial programme than it had originally envisaged.
